four successive league triumphs.
As Pep Guardiola inches closer to the exit door at the Camp Nou, the future of one of his famous students likes uncertain as well. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pedro-c29582 Rodriguez has had a season to forget with fellow La Masia academy players taking his place in the starting line-up.
The Spanish international’s agent, Antonio Sanz, took out time to talk about the future of his client and brought an end to transfer speculations regarding him. Sanz claimed that Pedro wants to finish his career at the Camp Nou and added that they have not
been contacted by any other club thus far.
"We have not been contracted by anyone because I understand that clubs are aware that snatching Pedro away from Barcelona is an almost impossible mission," the agent told while talking to Radio Club Tenerife.
"Regarding the rumours, they are just that - rumours. Our intention and that of Barcelona is for Pedro to stay here for a long time."
Continuing on the topic, Sanz revealed that Pedro is taking things step by step and is only focusing on the Copa del Rey final against Los Leones. He added that the 24-year-old is targeting the cup finale to impress Vicente Del Bosque, who is short of attacking
options for his Euro 2012 squad.
"He's focusing on [the Copa del Rey] final and hoping that Vicente Del Bosque will pick him for the national team so that he can play in the Euros.”
A lot rides on the Copa del Rey final as both Spanish clubs look to end the season on a high note. Victory for Barcelona will allow them to give Guardiola a proper sending off after four glorious years at the Camp Nou.
