Pedro de la Rosa hopes HRT will be back on track in the season ahead – Formula 1 news
HRT driver Pedro de la Rosa has said that they will soon get back on track in the season ahead while he said that they have got superb headquarters to make further developments.
De la Rosa has not been able to pocket any points in the season so far. However, he is not feeling upset over his poor performance and asserted that the transfer of their base in Madrid, Spain has positively transformed the team and they hope to see improvements
in the upcoming races.
“The team is going through a period of change and growth and now we've got fantastic headquarters that has transformed the team,” he said. “We've got base from which team is growing day by day. No one has stopped pushing, no matter what situation. And we've
felt supported. It's not easy being at the back and finishing last. But what motivates us every day is that we see that we're improving and we believe that we won't be at back for long. It's very nice to see that, despite the fact that it's being very tough,
we believe in that step forward.”
In addition, he said that they have made some sound progress and are setting realistic goals to attain some reasonable points in the forthcoming races. He also said that they can make their mark stronger in the championship fight if they manage to perform
well in the remaining season.
The Madrid based team has not been able to score even a single point in this year’s championship until now. Besides, it will be important to note that both De la Rosa and his teammate, Narain Karthikeyan couldn’t participated in the Australian GP as they
failed to set the qualifying time within the range of 107% of the quickest time.
Even though, they have not scored any points in the first eleven grands prix. Nevertheless, they are positively looking forward to attain better results in the next nine races after the summer break.
Over and above, it will be interesting to see how the Indian and Spanish pair of drivers performs in the season ahead.
