  1. i really don't know. i assume it's because busybodies have to pee more often than non busybodies, and race horces are the busybodies of the animal kingdom. i know that it started around the 1940's which is when horse racing was just getting popular again. all this talk is sending me to the loux. good luck

    XOXO ME!

  2. If you have ever seen a horse, race horse or not, pee you would understand.  You say that when you really have to go.  When a horse urinates it sounds and looks like someone turned on the faucet full blast.   It may have something to do with the fact that the winning horses have to have a drug test after the race that involves taking a urine sample from them.

  3. Here you go: In some states it is legal to give horses the drug called Lasix (a diuretic - something that makes it pee).

The reason for this is that when horses race, they can get "all lathered up" , seen as the white foamy stuff around their mouths, which is really fluid coming out of their lungs.

If severe enough, the horse could have respiratory problems like it was drowning. To prevent this, some horses need to get rid of extra fluid in their bodies just prior to racing.

Hence, they pee like a race horse.

  4. It came from the Bible.
