Peeing in a cup is it accurate?

okay i took a pregnancy test today it was the clear blue digital test and i peed in a regular house cup i cleaned it first then peed in it. and the test came back pregnant. did i do something wrong for it to come back pregnant? we have been trying just not on ovulating days.

As you have been trying . . . I would say that you did something RIGHT for it to come back pregnant!  Home pregnancy tests measure hcg.  There is no way a dirty cup or using a cup would lead to a false positive.  You can test again or call your doctor for a blood test.

well on the box of a different pregnancy test i read that you should not clean the cup with any sort of thing but i say s***w it. yes it does give you an accurate result. congratulations on getting pregnant.
