  1. Do you pee in your bathtub too?

  2. Yeah, I totally agree. With the loads of chlorine in it it really doesn't matter.

  3. sure. what makes your point better , no person can deny it . all children  have been in  a wading pool . just ignore the blathering answers . every body has . impossible not to have . good point  thank you

  4. I agree, I always pee.

  5. eww! sometimes i swallow the swimming pool water.

  6. i can agree that peeing in the ocean is fine, like when you got to the beach.. a pool is more of a confined area, but if the pool is big then i guess it doesnt really matter, all the pee probably sinks to the bottom anyway

  7. Dear, the point is plain and simple, yes people pee because it save time leaping from the pool to the showers or bathroom.  However, urine mixes with water.  One way or the other, you and I will "accidentally" drink pool water with urine while getting air from above the water (from time to time). My question is that do you want that or better yet, how do you avoid it? Nobody wins, right?

Since I am not in any way connected with any swim team, I have some time on my hand to just leave the pool and pee; same goes with the rest of my swimmer friends.  Some people do want (no offense) their pee to mix with pool water, some don't.

  8. I am also on a swim team, and I totally agree. There's no sense in interrupting practice if you can just pee right in the pool without anyone knowing. But it is gross when you find yourself in someone else's yellow cloud... oh well. I do it, so saying it is bad would mean I am a total hypocrite!

  9. ok here's from a lifeguard/science major perspective with the reality of life.

1)peeing adults are not the problem, its the kids who cannot differentiate b/t pee and poo

2)pee isn't always sterile. it is in theory, but if you have a UTI or a yeast infection you can still pee out the bacteria and spread it

    3) not all pools have high chlorine. i know this from experience. not all pools follow the laws for keeping the chlorine at a level high enough to kill stuff off. they do not want to make customers unhappy and will let them swim. which can still occur with a chlorine smell in the area because it is the free chlorine that kills off stuff and the smell and stinging of the eyes comes from combined chlorine which doesn't kill much of anything.

i also want to note that when i was on swim team NONE of us peed in the pool.

  10. I totally agree that it's fine, but that doesn't mean it isn't kind of disgusting.

  11. No, that changes the pH and makes it a pain for the lifeguard who must maintain the chemicals.

  12. Gross!
