Question:

Peeled my sunburnt face too early?

In a haste to have smooth skin before school, I think I peeled my sunburnt skin a little too early.

It wasn't sunburnt any more, but the texture was just odd. Almost like leather, and had a very tight feeling. It wasn't very attractive so I wanted it gone before school.

Anywho, now the skin on my nose (that's the only place I peeled) is bright pink and stinging at the moment. Its been a few hours since I peeled.

So here's the real question:

What can I do to heal it?

I tried applying aloe vera gel but all it did was sting and throb horribly.

How long will I be stuck with it like this?

ooh, ouch, same thing happened to me. see, the aloe vera (if it's the pure stuff) works to speed up healing. That's why we put it on burns, to begin the peeling process faster as the skin regenerates. So in fact, the aloe vera was working.

To tell you the truth, there's not a whole lot you can do that won't feel like it's burning. What I did is, for the time being, constantly apply tinted moisturizer with SPF anything. It ensures that the raw skin on your nose does not tan/burn a different color than the rest of your nose so it's not there forever. When you're sleeping, apply Polysporin, the good one is a gellish-like substance in a maroon bottle. It will help it heal :)

    Good luck !
