  1. Not all tattoos scab. It depends on how much the tattoo artist worked the area and how deep they went. Mine peeled but didn't scab...but I also didn't use A+D on it because my artist told me it draws out a lot of the ink and it makes the tattoo look duller.

  2. I have had four tattoos and each time they have scabbed and then peeled.  The whole process took about 2-3 weeks for me.  Just remember to put on the A+D as often as you can...it will speed up the process.  Be sure to wash it thoroughly a few times a day too.  Also...DO NOT EVER PICK AT THE SCAB.  I know it can be irritating and itchy, but let it be.  A friend of mine scratched it and part of the scab came off.  Well, when it finally healed, there was a white spot (her skin) in the middle of the tattoo from where the scab came off.  Good luck and enjoy!

  3. i would say scabbing as the skin underneath scabs can get weak (even when they naturally come off) but if you leave the weak skin it will come off at it's own time naturally.

  4. i have 3 and all of mine peeled (like a sunburn) then scabbed over, then peeled again.

keep it moisturiezed and keep putting the A & D on it until its healed and you should have a beautiful tattoo.

  5. Congratulations....you have a good tattoo.  Scabbing is NOT a preferred occurrence - you are supposed to peel.  Scabbing happens when a tattoo is over-worked, over-irritated, or in an area that gets a lot of motion.  Do what you are doing and it will heal fine.
