Peeling of my finger tips? ( Must be answered withing 30 mins )?

earlier today I have had a peeling of my finger tips. I'm not sure if I got into something or got something on my hands. It is just on my fingertips. It isn't coming off in sheets. It is very hard to see and happens once every 2 years * It isn't dry skin * It is very annoying and I can't stand the feeling of it. What can I do to make it go away? It is like itty bitty little pices of skin like coming off I don't know what it is. Anyone know anything I can put on it? I put Water-Jel Burn Jel on it earlier and it helped for about 3 hours not sure what is in that? Anyone else know any thing that I can put on my fingers that I can buy at a local pharmacy? The best thing would be vaseline, and then either bandage them or wear latex or plastic gloves to bed. I sometimes get dry cracked skin from the harsh chemicals & soap at work, and this does the trick well. Be sure to keep it on as you sleep!
