  1. People in Adelaide are friendly enough. From my experience it is easy enough to get people to talk to you; many are open to conversation. As for the accent; we probably use longer sounding vowels than people in other areas, which I find can give a more formal tone to the speech (but that could be just me).

  2. Adelaide does have a slight variation in accent to the rest of Australia, the way they pronounce the letter 'a' is a bit more English, eg the word dance would be pronounced more like  'darnce'.

Adelaide people are normal friendly people, less multicultural than most other Australian cities, with mainly English or German ancestry.

  3. Lots of English migrants in Adelaide and surrounds, so accents vary from broad scot/welsh/midlands  who say booter instead of butter, there again Aussies would say batter. We are a really friendly helpful bunch of people . Incidentally, to get a true aussie accent, trying speaking with your teeth closed together, using your lips more, it produces the authentic oz accent, and prevents the flies from getting in your mouth.!!

  4. If you're friendly to people, they'll be friendly to you. Aussie accents are generally the same all over Australia.
