One of my friends has been trying to persuade me to try a pill called Etodalac. I really don't like to do drugs or anything...but can this pill even get you high? It's a 400mg pill if it helps.

  1. try it while you have the chance, you'll live on and i think you should try everything once. maybe wait until you're mature enough to enjoy it.

  2. from my brief research, it looks like this drug is similar to ibuprofen (advil) so it seems unlikely to cause any sort of high, but it can have bad side effects (like stomach bleeding) especially if taken in doses higher than recommended. Avoid it!

  3. i wouldn't even bother. if you're taking one dose, you'll get drowsy and maybe dizzy. if you get high it probably won't be very enjoyable, and etodolac causes risks of ulcers.

just smoke pot it's less complicated

  4. "Etodolac may cause side effects, or Adverse drug reaction. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:

constipation, diarrhea, gas or bloating, vomiting, headache, dizziness, ringing in the ears, runny nose, sore throat, blurred vision.

Some side effects can be serious. If you experience any of the following symptoms, or those mentioned in the IMPORTANT WARNING section, call your doctor immediately. Do not take any more etodolac until you speak to your doctor:

unexplained weight gain, swelling of the eyes, face, lips, tongue, throat, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs, fever or chills, blisters, rash, itching, hives, hoarseness, difficulty breathing or swallowing, yellowing of the skin or eyes, excessive tiredness, unusual bleeding or bruising, lack of energy, loss of appetite, pain in the upper right part of the stomach, flu-like symptoms, pale skin, fast heartbeat, cloudy, discolored, or bloody urine, difficult or painful urination, back pain.

Etodolac may cause other side effects."

When overdosed, Gastrointestinal bleeding, Hypertension, acute renal failure, respiratory depression and coma can occur.

My advise to you is no you shouldn't take the pill.  Of course in general you don't take pills from random people; God knows what's in it!

  5. Please don't take any prescription medication unless it's prescribed by a doctor. I've worked in hospitals and seen the results of as little as one small pill on some people. You don't know how your body will react to any pill. You could wind up with any of the terrible side effects, including death. I've seen teens die from their first time taking a drug that was just supposed to make them a "little high" and I've seen the families grief at their loss.

One pill can also be the start of a long and terribly excruciating life of addiction. You may start with what you think are good intentions and say to yourself "I'm only going to do it this one time..." but you decide you like it. Next time it's something stronger...it ALWAYS is. You then wind up in rehab trying to kick a drug habit that has ruined your life, or worse...it killed you.

Watch a few episodes of "Intervention" on A&E...this is as real as it gets and shows you what the wrong path can do to you.

I realize this is only one pill and your first time, hun, but do yourself a favor and don't let your "friends", if you can call them that, take you down the wrong path.

I hope you do the right thing...and good luck, ok.
