Peggys Style ready to impress in the Gain Feeds Yorkshire St Leger – 2nd Semi-Final
For the three-year-old, Peggys Style, the Gain Feeds Yorkshire St Leger – 2nd Semi-Final is the third and final stepping stone for the hat-trick at Doncaster. The race will be held over 661 metres flat on Friday, 31st August, 2012.
Taking their chances for bagging the £250 are Welton Arthur, Blonde Fletch, Round Woman, Derrane Jake and Trickys On Fire.
The three-year-old black b***h started racing during the previous season. She kicked off the new season with a training session at Monmore on 24th January, 2012 over 480 metres. The dark b***h ended as the runner-up in the seasonal debut on 31st
January, 2012 at Swindon over 480 metres. The race was won by, Sids Dream, in 28.81 seconds while he led by 7 ½ lengths.
She did not disappoint the connections for long and struck a back-to-back by first winning at Swindon and then claiming a race at Hove. Peggys Style won the Gala Coral Maiden Stayers on 19th February, 2012 at Hove over 695 metres. She broke into
a high pace after racing from the fifth gate, took lead from the third position, settling the race in 42.37 seconds.
She won by the margin of 7 ½ lengths and set, Eden Rumble, as the runner-up.
She failed to strike a hat-trick and then remained unsuccessful for the next four races that followed.
The Chris Allsopp trained finally won the second division of the Blue Tuna b*****s Trophy on 27th May, 2012 at Coventry over 485 metres. She could not pace up right after leashing from the sixth stall and only got to lead near the line, concluding
the race in 29.51 seconds. She set the favourite entry at a disadvantage while winning by a neck’s margin.
Westmead Hawk’s daughter’s first try Doncaster was a success as she timed the 661 metres in 42.93 seconds on 17th August. She defeated the runner-up, Boherna Bridge, by seven lengths.
Her last attempt and victory was in the Gain Feeds Yorkshire St Leger – Heat 3 on 24th August, 2012 at Doncaster over 661 metres. The favourite entry raced through the track distance in 42.88 seconds winning by the mark of ¾ of a length.
