Question:

Peice of music used (I think) during Sunday Love Songs on Radio 2...?

I can't for the life of me think of a way of describing it without humming it at the screen but...

I always remember it as being in the background as someones story was being read out on air. Like, I was once in love and we lost touch for 40 years and now we're back together....

I know it sounds really far fetched but can anyone help?

Thanks in advance!

  1. I think it's from Romeo & Juliet by Mozart?

Anyway the slot on Sunday love songs is called Lost Loves - http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/sunlov... and you can contact the show via http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/sunlov...

    Hope this helps

  2. It was Simon Bates actually, and the music was Romeo and Juliet (Of course, I hear you say) by Nino Rota

The show was call 'Our Tune' and I am sure it was on  the air on a Saturday

So, either I have got it wrong, or you have!  I'll find a download and see if it is the correct tune

You do the same and let me know if I am right.

Man, I feel old remembering that!   Mind you, I am old   lol

    Addendum

This is the correct tune and composer, now that I have played it I am certain that I am right. Not that I was ever in any doubt!

  3. Yeah, think that was Mike Reid's slot a few years ago but don't know the name of the tune. You could always email Steve Wright and ask...............

  4. use the play again feature or email the show via the web for best answer
