Question:

Pelican Bayou 160 square stern canoe motor?

I'm thinking about this canoe:

It is about $700. It can hand a small motor up to 5 hp, I think.

I'd rather have a smaller motor anyhow...

  1. Buy used if possible.  I bought a used Pelican and 4hp Mercury for $650.  4hp really works well.  Goes around 12mph and is pretty stable.
