Pell Grant Reimbursement??

Question

I got an email saying i was awarded a pell grant.... i am taking three classes two of which i purchased the books at a store off campus, not associated with the school.. will they still reimburse me if i bought them somewhere other than the school? will i have to show a receipt?? and the third book, how should i go about buying that one? pay cash? buy it at the school? off campus? or what?? im sooo confused anything helps. thanks!

Pell Grants usually go right into your bank account, so it doesn't matter. It depends on your school, but my Financial Aid office takes out tuition, then deposits the rest of the money into my bank account for books, food, rent, whatever. One guy I know used it to buy a car since he was awarded so much. I say check with your school and their policy. Some schools mail a check since they don't connect with your bank account.
