  1. it's only one year. it will be cut in half . half for the first semester half for the second. when the next year comes around you can reapply or it might automatically renew itself for you. yes that is a good amount.

  2. 1. The money is for the 2008-2009 school year.  The money goes to your school and you reapply for the next year.

    2. Quite possibly, but it depends on your school.

    3. Any money is good.  How much you get depends on how much you have, its not any more than that.

  3. The amount that you are qualified to recieve is just fro the 1st year. You will have to reapply next year for more. That will not cover the total cost of your education, however the Pell Grant does not have to be paid back, and yes it is a good amount. I hope this helps. Good luck! College can be tough but it's worth finishing.

  4. This means that for the year starting August until May or whenever your school starts. You will receive a total of 5,231 dollars. So that is about 2600 per semester.

I dont know if that is a good amount. It depends on how much your school cost. What is the cost per credit hour?

  5. I recieved a total of $4,200 for the year 2007-2008!

I was a full-time student both semester at a community college. I was able to pay for tuition and my books with that money and bought a new notebook and still had some money left to spend on clothes and school supplies.

The money you're being award is enough to cover all your college expenses for the year 08-09. You will have to re-apply for it again next year.

P.S: Don't dropout/withdraw from any classes. Check on the minimum amount of classes you're suppose to pass for the semester. I withdrew out of some classes which disqualified me from getting any money the next time I applied.

  6. NOTE: Make sure you double check how many credits you need to qualify for the financial aid. Personally, I have to maintain 15 credits in order to qualify for all of the money, not just 12. You might want to look into it and get another class while you still have time.

  7. You have to reapply for pell grant every year, so I believe that is for 08-09  only. And yes it is a good amount. :)

  8. Just one you will start the school year in 2008 and finish in 2009. So that is for your fall and spring semesters.

It will not cover it all.

    It is a great amount.
