My parents made $22,391.00 last year. I am a dependent. I claimed $0.00. I did NOT receive any money in 2007. I don't have a job. I am a full-time student. There are four people in my family including me. No one else has gone to college except me. How much money do you think I could get from the pell grant?

***PELL GRANT MONEY ONLY!***

P.S. I have already filled out the FAFSA. PLEASE, just answer my question as best you can. I want an estimated amount of money I could get from the Pell grant.

  1. If you have done your FAFSA, then Post your EFC number silly.

We can't know for sure unless you give this info.  If you lost it you can try using this EFC calculator.

  2. Go to the website I've listed below and there may be some information for you in addition to what I've listed here.

    "How much can I get?

The maximum Pell Grant award for the 2008-09 award year (July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009) is $4,731. The maximum can change each award year and depends on program funding. The amount you get, though, will depend not only on your financial need, but also on your costs to attend school, your status as a full-time or part-time student, and your plans to attend school for a full academic year or less."

There is also a new little pot of money if you are eligible for a Pell and are studying math and science.

  3. IF your EFC on your FAFSA is zero, your best possible outcome would be maximum Pell at approximately $4731. HOWEVER!!!; there may be other things that have to be considered, so this estimate could change drastically.
