Malaga CF are enjoying a good run in their first ever Champions League campaign after their 1-0 win over the Italian giants, AC Milan, in Group C.
Malaga came into this game with two wins from their opening two games. They were facing the Italian giants, AC Milan, who are struggling this season in Serie A.
The Andalusians were not going to take this game easily. However, they failed to take the lead in the first half after their winger, Joaquin Sanchez missed a penalty .The second half started, and this time on the 64th
minute Joaquin scored the single goal that ensured Malaga the victory.

“We saw Milan changed and adapted to us, which means we have become a big side and deserve to be in the Champions League,” he said.
The Chilean coach admitted that he was not sure how Milan were going to approach this game, but instead told his players to just pass the ball around and wait for their own time.
“We weren’t sure how Milan would be set out, but I had told the lads to pass the ball around and once they got hold of the initiative, they didn’t let go.”
Moreover, the 59-year-old coach also commented on the transition period AC Milan are going through and feels the Italian giants are experiencing big changes.
“I don’t know the reality of the situation at Milan, but I can see a new era emerging there and big changes.”
Finally, Pellegrini is not taking anything for granted in this group. Although his team are five points clear of AC Milan, he believes they are not hundred percent sure to qualify for the next round of the Champions League.
“Right now we are in a good position, but until there is mathematical certainty we cannot say that we are already qualified.”
Malaga have not conceded a single goal in the Champions League so far. They are now comfortably sitting on top of the group with nine points.
