Los Che boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mauricio-c24899 Pellegrino, has conceded that they not made the expected start to the season as they won only three games in all competitions and are now sitting 14th in La Liga table standings.
Valencia have been struggling since the start of the season. Due to mistakes and poor performances on the ground, Valencia have so far managed to win only three games in all competitions and this is a trend which Pellegrino is not taking lightly and is causing
concerns for the club.
“The results, which is what people look at, have not been what we'd expect,” he told EFE.
However, the Argentine coach feels that they have been hard done and that they don’t deserve to be where they are at the moment. Regardless, he takes responsibility for what has happened so far and believes that things will change soon for the better.
“I do not think we deserved to lose some of the games we have, but I will not give any excuses. I hope the situation will change soon.”
The club’s poor performances and mistakes have surely derailed their expectations of having a good start to the season. Now http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863’s chances of reaching that coveted spot for the Champions League is in doubt as their main rivals have kicked off to a great
start.
Regardless, Pellegrino also reflected on where things have gone wrong and contributed the slow start of the season to a combination of events and incidents that didn’t go in their favour.
“We've done both good and bad things, and we have paid dearly for our mistakes. We have won three games [in all competitions], lost four and drawn two and a combination of injuries and tough opponents have made things difficult.”
Finally, the Argentine coach commented on his dedication and desire for football and how he is fully committed to the success of the club.
“I am giving this http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 my all. Football is all I have thought about my entire life, and I have devoted all my time and love to this game.”
Valencia will now host Athletic Bilbao at Estadio Mestalla on October 20.
