Pen out of upholstered couch?

Anyone know how to get ink pen marks out of an old upholstered couch?

try soda water? i would also maybe try steam cleaning or a fabric stain remover.  if it has been itting awhil;e thoug its pretty much impossible though. to bad it wasnt invisible ink!

Hairspray works on clothes.  Maybe you could spray it with hairspray and then use a damp cloth with a mild soap.
