Pena Dorada tipped to win Kay Care Services Beginners´ Chase
Pena Dorada is likely to prevail in the Kay Care Services Beginners´ Chase at Hexham in England on Thursday, March 15, 2012. The winner will bag a cash prize of £2,274.
The going will be good to soft in the 2 mile 110 yard race, which will start at 2:20 GMT. A total of six runners will be seen in action and their names are: Pena Dorada, Signalman, Ruff Diamond, Lets Go Girls, Jollygoodwelldone and Georgedoubleyou.
Lucinda Russell’s trained gelding, Pena Dorada, has a very good chance of bringing up his maiden victory while chasing. He has been in good form over the past few months, but needs to out in some extra effort to win.
The five-year-old runner has taken part in six chase events until now, but the best he could manage was a runner up finish on four occasions. This suggests that he has the potential to challenge the front runners, but needs a bit of luck in order to finish
on top.
The punters will be looking at the recent form of Pena Dorada, which has been good. In his last outing at Wetherby, the promising runner finished runner up. He was unable to make an impression on the race winner, who took a huge lead of 16 lengths until
the end.
Pena Dorada will be partnered by Campbell Gillies, who has won 47 races while chasing. He does not have a very good strike rate, but will be aiming to make a strong impression today.
Another runner, who has a good chance of winning the race today, is Signalman. He has participated in six chase races until now, but has not won any. However, he did finish runner up on three occasions, which suggests that he has the ability to fight for
race victories.
The eight-year-old gelding has been a touch inconsistent recently, which might discourage the bettors from risking money on him. However, he is quite capable of breaking the shackles today.
James Ewart’s trainee will be partnered by seasoned campaigner, Brian Hughes, who is nearing a century of victories while chasing.
Ruff Diamond and Lets Go Girls are the other two runners, who can make an impression in the race. They also lack rhythm, but could end up in top three today.
