  4. Pinky swear!

    *chops off little finger*

  5. According to Dr. `Abdul-Fattah `Ashoor, Professor of the Exegesis of the Qur'an at Al-Azhar University:

"As long as the brother here has forgotten the number of times in which he had broken his oaths, then he is required to make each Kaffarah on behalf of every single oath, while striving hard to remember how many times he broke his oath, and then start making Kaffarah. It goes without saying that the Kaffarah is feeding ten needy people or clothing them or fasting three days, if one is unable to feed or clothe the needy ones."

  6. It is feeding 10 poors, or give them cloth, or ta7reer raqaba (freeing one slave). if these options are not attainable, then fasting 3 days.

In general, it is advisable to not swear a lot, and keep it for the big matters when needed.

Breaking the swear are many different types and levels:

    - It could be that I swear to my friend I will do something next week. Then, I didn't do it. Then, I do kaffarah (like above).

    - Or it could be that I swear, and keep in my will and heart, or say to my friend, that if it was possible. Then, if I got a different emergency, then no Kaffarah.

    - It could be of something on the past that happened, and this has different types:

. In some fatwas, it is okay to swear wrongly for a mistake someone did, to prevent a big harm, but with the deep will that he/she will not do it again (yatoob).

. However, the worst type of Yameen, that is the one that is used with the will to do harm or get away with it.

For example, if someone took money of someone and sweared he never did that.

or someone who did an adultary and swear he never did it (to get away with it and do it again)

This last one is "yameen ghamoos" and it is bigger than to be forgiven by kaffarah penalty. The person should make real tawbah, and return the money to its owner, in case it was about money.
