Pencil or liquid eyeliner? Two-part question.?

Question

I just recently bought liquid eyeliner. I haven't really worn eyeliner since middle school, so I was wondering the benefits of each.

Also, some people I know apply eyeliner to the inside of their lid. Why? Is this better-looking? Or is it bad for you?

if you put eyeliner on the inside of your eye it makes your eyes pop more, sort of speak.

Liquid liner is great for making cat eyes and enhancing your lash line to give the appearance of thicker lashes.  If you got a good kind it will stay on extremely well.  It DOES take some practice getting a precise line but don't give up.  I love the doe-eyed look it gives me when I wear it.  Pencil liner is just plain easier and less messy.  It's great using right in your lash line.

I like to put liner on the inner rim of the eye to really show off the shape.  On me personally I feel like I have nice eyes but when I put liner on the inner rim it shows off the almond shape they have and it's really s**y.  I also love using black on my inner rim and then using a golden tones shadow all over because it makes my brown eyes look like caramel.  You could do this to enhance the color of your eyes.  It isn't bad for you.  Get a liner that has the word "kohl"  in it, those are specifically for the inner rim.  DO NOT do this if you have very small eyes, though.  It will only make them smaller.

our lids have insides? Isn't it a lid, LID? like TOP. Or do you mean the shadow area? I suppose it gives them a dark color and they smudge it? I'd go with pencil, easier to apply.

never apply inside your lid!!! eww thats like inside your eye, and its horrible for your eyes and it will be itchy all the time! big nono

hey hun, well i like liquid eyeliner for the top of my eyelid, lasts alot longer does take practise but when u get the hang of it looks good. pencil for the bottom lid which you are talking about but it is bad for your eyes can make them get those red veins in the eyes, if u wear it all the time.

pencil is easier to apply but sometimes doesnt last as long, liquid lasts until you take it off but it takes practice to put on. i apply my eyeliner on the inside of the lid because i think it looks better, its not bad for you.

During the day at work I use pencil eyeliner and usually a dark brown and I use liquid eyeliner when I'm going out.

I'm not a professional *obviously* but for me personally I find that a pencil liner creates a softer look that is more subtle and suitable for daytime makeup.

The liquid liner is darker, more solid and dramatic looking which is suitable for evening or club makeup

i think ppl just want it to look like tehy have thick eyelashes *even tho thats wat mascara is for) its really harmful to ur eyes

well i don't really like the liquid one because it hurts my eyes when i put it on

and the pencil one, you always have to sharpen it
