Pending Administrative Process?

Dear All

my wife is USA .citizen , she had filed visa Petition through the USA consulate in Cairo , Egypt .

i got my visa interview on Jul2008 , the interview was very smooth and the officer was a very good person ,he asked me only two questions about my wife family .then he took my fingerprint and asked for my passport and kept it in the file .he told me that every thing is Ok and the visa will be sent to me in 3 weeks .

after one month i contacted the usa immigration office in the USA consulate in cairo through email to check the case , they kept informing me that the case pending administrative process.

please advise what dose it means ?

pending: on hold because immigration is very busy with getting everyone else who is ahead of you approved.

No need to worry, they told my husband & I it would be weeks, and it ended up as months.
