Question:

Pending deposit with Bank of America online baking just disappeared?

I deposited a check from work on Thursday or Friday of last week and it never cleared, it just always said pending and showed what my balance would be after it cleared. Just now I went to my online account to check if it had cleared yet and the transaction was gone, like it was never even there. WTF? Any help would be much appreciated. I work for Subway if that matters. Thanks

  1. According to the manager at my branch - this has happened all over the east coast.  I put in cash yesterday afternoon and it was showing as "pending" yesterday, then gone today.  If you call customer service, they're going to tell you to take your receipt to a branch and they will credit you with a temporary deposit until your original is "found".  That's what I spent my lunch hour doing toady (along with about 30 other people lined up at the branch...)

    Hope that helps!

  2. call or email the bank and ask what happened. the check was either stopped or it had insufficient funds.  you received a bad check.  you will get a letter in the mail telling what the problem is

  3. There was a delay in deposit but it occured for aug 18 transactions. Sounds like u may have had a out of state deposit or USED an out of state deposit slip. call the bank. have ur receipt handy. with BOA, i find that people who use their pre-printed dep slips are usually worry-free.

  4. Call the branch where you deposited the check and speak to the head teller. He/she will look for the deposit you made. If you deposited the check in an ATM or drop box things can easily get lost. If the check had innsufficent finds the deposit would have cleared your account. But the amount would then have been deducted from your checking account. It sounds like the deposit was never processed.I used to work as a teller.
