Say it is my turn and I haven't set or summoned any monsters in my main phase 1. I attack my opponent face down monster and it is penguin soldier and returns both of my monsters.

Can I summon or set anyone of those monsters that was returned in my main phase 2 since I didn't in main phase 1?

Thank you

  1. Yes that perfectly legal. You are allowed one normal summon or set per turn, and you can conduct it during main phase one or two.

  2. yes

  3. Plain and simply.....Yes!

Since Penguin Soldier doesn't specify the returned monster's cannot be summoned during the turn they were returned and since you haven't Normal Summoned or Set yet you can still play one of the monsters that was returned to the hand.

  4. Yes, as long as you didnt normal summon in MP1. You are guaranteed a normal summon unless a card effect doesnt allow it, but with penguin soldier, he sends it back to your hand, so you can normal summon it MP2.
