Oh my God.

(Rob Rossi also has an article about it in the Trib)

If Jagr accepts a contract from the Pens I'll pee myself. I really don't think anyone understands what Jags means to me. When I was a little kid I had the world's biggest crush on him....as I got older I just started idolizing him. Now IMO he's one of the greatest players ever.

Thoughts on him returning to the 'burgh?

(Pittsburgh has signed Dupuis and Eaton for those who don't know)

  1. Aside from thrilling all the fans that miss him, I think a veteran of his caliber might really help Pittsburgh.

  2. Theres a good chance he could be a Penguin next year. I think that'd be awesome for the team and the fans. LMAO they were booing him last year and now they will be cheering for him like crazy.

  3. Sorry Kate.

In my honest opinion(which means nothing) I never liked him, I do not respect him.Although he did have cool hair.....BUT he is a  Penguin true and tried and why not finish where you started and hang your jersey from the Rafters of where you first put it on.

#68 should hang in the Burg!!!

  4. As long as the PITT fans still BOO him, I am cool with that!

  5. That would be great for Penguins fans! I also remember him while he played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, he was one of my favorite players to watch! I think it would be cool if they could sign him!

  6. I wouldn't pee your pants just yet, Kate.

The Lightning extended an offer to Mats Sundin (LOL I know!) The key word there is "several." They are on of several teams after him. Best of luck in trying to sign him, but don't hyperventalate over a report.

  7. that would be huge for pitt, but dont get your hopes up. at least you got Eaton and Dupuis.

  8. YOU'D BETTER NOT BE KIDDING!

that would give me such, as McLovin says, an "errection"

( wouldnt let me use the word "*****" )

  9. anyone want a smoke after their o****m?

it sounds like an orgy in here. i'm glad people are getting excited because of F/A day and all, but no one has won anything yet.

one injury will make all this talk sound foolish.

(this isn't necessarily directed at the asker, but geez, people. Jagr ain't the player he used to be. is he useless? no. is he a liability? hmm. is T.B. overrated? ... well, they are STARTING to be, based on some of the users in this forum. the more you talk about it, the more you hype them.)

  10. Katie,Jagr isn't the player you remember when you were a little wee one.I'm not sure he's the type of guy the Pens would or should over spend for this offseason.Maybe because they lost alot of players they leak this news to the fans so you'd feel better aboot management. Also he hasn't won anything without playing with Super Mario and unfortuantely for you he's not coming back.

  11. I actually talked to dad about this the day we lost the cup....How GREAT would it be to have him back in the 'Burgh, and making right with the crowd he walked out on years ago? If we can get him for a decent price, he'll be welcomed with open arms....I LOVED Jags as a kid! =)

My heart bleeds at the mention of the Hoss....Stop it. =(

Kate, it would make it a LITTLE better....But I've loved Hossa since Ottawa and...and....*cry*

  12. It would be interesting to see Jagr back with the Pens. But I am not sure he could mesh with any of the players there . He seems to have a problem with chemistry wherever he is now. But the real question is will he bring back the pouffy mullet if he does go back to Pittsburgh
