I'm about to start the 9th grade & i've really been thinking about penn foster.

For people that have experience with the high school program, how much did it cost(estimate) for a whole year.

& is it harder or about the same as high school.

Do u have to do alot of typed reports on the computer or is it about the same as high school?

Please just give me your reviews of the high school progam.

  1. I am currently going through the high school course, so I can answer your questions.

As far as price, it depends on what payment plan you choose.:

1 - Full Payment Plan: Total price $1,195.00

You Save $400 Now*. You pay the full amount upfront.

2 - Automatic Payment Plan: Total price $1,220.00

You Save $375 Now*. Make a down payment and establish easy, interest-free monthly payments that will be automatically charged to a credit/debit card or bank account.

3 - Standard Payment Plan: Total price $1,295.00

You Save $300 Now. Make a down payment and make monthly payments using a payment book that you will receive from Penn Foster by mail.

As far as the toughness of the course, it is pretty easy since the course is mainly open book, but there are a few exams where you write about topics and send it into the school to be graded by proctors.

Overall, on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is the easiest and 10 is the hardest, I'd give the course a 5 or 6.

There aren't alot of typed reports, but there are a few.

Plus there are other good things about the course, including a nationally and regionally accredited diploma, one of the cheapest tuition costs for an accredited distance education high school diploma, and excellent help by the proctors of the school.

I'd say if you want to do distance education for your high school diploma, Penn Foster is one of the best schools for you.

Good Luck in whatever school you attend.

  2. I'm not familiar with Penn Foster but there are 2 free online high schools that are available, K12 and Connections Academy. They are both popular in California. To see if your state has one try http://takecontrolofyoureducation.blogsp...

    Best of Luck!
