Penn State Transfer Student?

I plan on applying for penn state as an undergraduate transfer student this fall for admission in Janurary 2008. I had a 2.9-3.0 gpa in high school and plan to kick butt the first semester to increase my chances for penn state admission as well as applying very early. Do you think I will be considered?? I REALLY want to attend penn state but I am very nervous Thank you!
