Pennsylvania Voter Registration Mess-Up . . .?

To make a long story short . . . when I went to vote today my name did not appear on the voter roles . . . . I had a copy of my voter application, a photo i.d., and a bank statement . . . and no one could find my name . . . the polling officials were lovely and I do not think this was a case of voter abuse . . . but who would I file a "complaint" with . . . Hopefully I'm an isolated case but if not I want to make sure my complaint is considered . . . Thanks.

I've emailed the county elections board . . . is there anyone else I should notify?

  1. Depends on who you were going to vote for....if it's Obama then fight to have your vote count by writing every elected official and explain the issue.

If Hilary then don't worry I'm sure the problem is a known issue and it will resolve itself somehow.

  2. You need to go to your county election board and to where you registered. Where I live they issue me a voter registration card. Good Luck. Call one of Hilary's or Obama's campaign office and maybe they can help before the poles close.

  3. Looks like you covered it all. Although instead of emailing the elections board, I would call them personally or go there in person.  That way there are no more mess ups and they cannot say they did not get your email.   Hopefully then you will be able to get things cleared up on the spot.

  4. You're right, not all voting problems are suspect. It is important that you know your correct polling place or address. Here is one website, amongst a few, that can tell you where your polling is. You can also call your local registrar office and tell them you're having a problem.

If, however, you feel that something is unsettling about your experience, don't hesitate to step forward and inquire further.

Remember, nobody is doing you a favor to allow you to vote, it is your right to vote!

  5. The elections board is the right place to go.

Good luck, it sucks to be disenfranchised doesn't it!

  6. Nope.

  7. Not sure, but it sounds like you are not the only one having problems.  Voting machines are messing up in PA.

  8. I found this info on the website for the Committee of 70:

HOTLINE: You may report voting problems to the voter-assistance hotline, 866-OUR-VOTE
