Pennys Midas to extend the winning streak through the William Hill 480M Maiden Trophy at Nottingham
Nottingham will become home for the William Hill 480M Maiden Trophy over 480 metres flat on Monday, 26th March. Invading the track tonight are Mays Bonus, Pennys Midas, Mottos Blue, Faypoint Annie, Born Free and Subway Lolo.
The inevitable winner for tonight is Pennys Midas, Kinloch Brae’s three-year-old brindle son out of b***h Pennys Mrsturpin. There was only one race that he took part in during 2011 and that too carries the status of being not raced.
His actual racing experience broke into the 2012 season with eleven races under his belt now out of which five are victories. The last three actually are together and have entitled him of a hat trick.
Pennys Midas’ career’s debut victory was in a 462 metres race at Yarmouth on 16th January which he clocked in 28.28 seconds and was ahead of an amazing 13 ¾ lengths.
The next start that was on 21st January too was a victory. Pennys Midas won the Grade A1 5th Pick 6 Jackpot at Yarmouth over 462 metres by reaching the other end of the wire in 28.20 seconds. The 6/4 favourite of the race led the field
by six and a half lengths.
The runner up of the race was Beaufort Bound while managing the third position behind the winner was District Nine.
On 28th January, Pennys Midas’ chances for a hat trick were taken away by Bit View Emma who raced through the 462 metres of the Grade A1 race at Yarmouth in 28.01 seconds. Pennys Midas finished the race third in line after the winner.
He then stretched the hat trick beginning from the first victory on 22nd February to bagging the third win on 19th March.
He was sent as a 5/4 favourite in the Grade A1 462 metres Flat on 22nd February at Yarmouth. He was done racing in 27.61 seconds while leading by 4 ¾ lengths. The first to join the winner on the other end of the wire was Honey Bound and leaping
for the third position was Cloncunny Mag.
Next he won the second heat of the Bags Easter Bunny Standard on 14th March by clocking the distance in 27.90 seconds. The final leg of the hat trick was cleared on 19th March in the Grade IR Bags/Sis Easter Bunny Standard Final which
he bagged after timing the distance in 27.94 seconds.
Pennys Midas has all the chances of extending the winning streak to a fourth victory tonight.
