Pennys Option set to run solid race at Romford - London Road Marathon Preview
London Road Marathon is to be hosted by Romford on Friday, March 30, 2012. Although Ballintine Molly has been awarded with the highest starting price, Pennys Option is geared up to stun everyone in the 750 metres flat heat.
The party is about to begin, as the heat will be kicked off at 22:40 GMT. It holds a hefty cash prize worth £200, which will be given to the ultimate winner.
Taking part in the Grade OR event are: Ballintine Molly, Pennys Option, Slick Sapphire, Bubbly Blues and Moody Blonde.
Ballintine Molly has been performing decently over the last few weeks, but victories are not coming to her way regularly. The black b***h clinched her last victory on March 16, when she beat Rookery Pedro by one and a half lengths.
Failing to perpetuate her good work, the b***h finished second in her subsequent outing on March 21. M. Wallis’ trainee deserves a change of luck, but she will have to come up with an all out effort to turn things around.
Since it is a long distance race, stamina and consistency are extremely crucial. She holds plenty of experience of such races and thus, one can expect her to spark.
Pennys Option is in fine fettle at the moment. The black dog earned a lot of admiration following his brilliant hat-trick earlier this month. He sealed his third consecutive win on March 09, when he topped the chart by ½ of a length.
In his most recent outing, the J. Coleman-trained was not able to deliver a thumping performance. In a 695m race, he secured runner-up slot by four lengths.
Slick Sapphire and Bubbly Blues have been given the odds of 4 to 1 each. The former of the two is coming into this race after four good solo outings. However, the black b***h will have to hold her nerves in a bid to taste victory. Likewise, Bubbly Blues
needs to give her best shot.
According to our prediction, it will be a tug of war between Ballintine Molly and Pennys Option. The latter has a better track record and thus, we are not reluctant to rate him favourite.
