Pennys Stinger likely to dominate proceedings in Bettor.com Sprint
Pennys Stinger is expected to dominate proceedings in the Bettor.com Sprint at Shawfield in England on Friday, April 13, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will walk away with a cash prize of £200.
The race distance to cover for all hounds will be 300 metres and the event is scheduled to start at 19:40 GMT. Following are the entries confirmed for the race: Pennys Stinger, North Rum, Azzurri Ferrari, Comrade, Manilla Rumble and Barrigone Wind.
The bookies have full faith in the abilities of Pennys Stinger, who has been in terrific form over the past many months. He has got plenty of experience and has been delivering consistent results recently as well.
The F. Smith’s trainee has won five out of his previous eight races, which shows that he is in great rhythm at the moment. His most recent race at Shawfield yielded a decent result, as he finished third overall.
The veteran dog was not the favourite to win that race, as he was up against some very good runners. However, he still managed to make a solid impression. The punters will definitely be interested in placing a lot of bets in his favour.
Pennys Stinger is the son of Brett Lee out of Pennys Spotlight and was born in November 2006.
On the other hand, North Rum is also a good competitor and the bookies expect him to fight for victory at Shawfield today. He has mostly been doing solo runs at different venues, but has managed to do well in them.
The J. Calvert’s trained dog has never raced at Shawfield, thus he might find it hard to adjust to the conditions. However, he has the ability to challenge his rivals today. The black dog is the son of Hades Rocket out of Miles Pacey and was born in
August 2009.
Azzurri Ferrari, trained by A. Parisi, is also capable of fighting for victories, but his recent form has not been good. Due to this, the bettors will be a touch hesitant over placing bets in his favour.
The rest of the runners will also have a chance of winning, but they will have to be at their best in order to do so.
