Born in 2010, the two-year-old penetrated into the new season on 3rd January at Swindon over 480 metres. No one could have wished for a better beginning as Killahan Phanter’s son concluded the track distance in 30.36 seconds, and claimed the race .
He won by a four and a half length margin, and set Mandeville Kit as the runner up.
The next nine races found the two-year-old unsuccessful. However, he bounced back into form on 5th March in the Magners Maiden Standard Trophy at Nottingham over 500 metres. Penrhiw Guto, out of b***h, Droopys Alison, timed the track distance in 30.70 seconds. The evening’s favourite had the final ¾ of a length in his favour.
Settling as the runner up was, Laughill Ted who was soon followed by, Tennyson Hawk.
His third victory celebration came in on 14th April in the Ladbrokes.Com 480 at Monmore. Entered as the favourite, he reached the other end of the wire in 28.55 seconds. Missing the race by ¾ of a length was, Outbound Stripe.
31st May witnessed the Chris Allsopp trained winning the Truframe Greyhound Stud Book Trophy 2012 Heat 2 at Monmore over 480 metres. He took 28.17 seconds to settle the track distance, and shoved the favourite of the race, Go Go Sonic, into the runner up’s slot.
Filling up the third place was, Cerrise.
Till yet the last success of the two-year-old was in the Ladbrokes Summer Festival Dogs 480 – Heat 1 on 18th June at Monmore over 480 metres. He clocked the track distance in 28.23 seconds, and had Whitefort Mac, following in the prints.
His last try resulted in a second score however, his consistent performance has added credibility to his chances of creating an impact tonight. The rest of the contestants will make it difficult for him to cross the wire by a significant margin.
