Are there any Pensiones ( Spanish state-run hotels), in or around Madrid?

  1. I always thought Pensiones were privately-run little boutique-like places.  That's what I saw.  Did you mean Paradors?  They are state run.  The thing to do would be to search Paradores, Spain.

    It's right on the Plaza Mayor (less than two minute's walk) Right in the center of town.  Five minutes to the Puerta del Sol and the subway.
