Penske, U-Haul or Ryder?

I am moving across country, just me and my dog, and think it will be cheaper to sell my car and drive a truck 2 bedroom apt sized truck, I had bad experience with ryder years ago,

  1. This may help.  Ryder does not do "one-way" rentals anymore.  Have to return truck to the same pickup location.  Ryder hasn't done 1-way's in years.


  2. I may be biased, I work for Penske as a mechanic, but I believe Penske has the newest rental fleet, and they're well maintained. I've seen a few U hauls by the side of the road with serious problems ( like brakes on fire), and they seem to be generally older equipment. I can't comment on Ryder they are our main competitor. If you weren't happy with them I'd say give Penske a try.
    We really do our best to make sure you have a good experience, and if you should have a problem there is a nationwide support network to help you out.
    You might want to consider not selling your car, but trailering it behind a truck.Yes we rent trailers for this purpose.

  3. Penske for sure.....Cheaper and more reliable. There service on the trucks beat any of the other guys. You'll have no worries about your travel.
