Pentax K100d Menu system?

Question

I have noticed the look of the tired menu of the pentax k100d

And the clean fresh menue look of the nikon d40

The nikon d40:

Is this anything to be worried about?

Yeah, Pentax is known to have pretty annoying navigation and confusing menus. You'll get use to them once you own it though. It shouldn't detract from the cameras value.

It would have been better if you had 2 pictures the same quality

to make a comparison easier.
