Pentax Optio A20 - REPLACEMENT SCREEN NEEDED

I had the Pentax Optio A20 in my bag, on the bus.

I think it had hit off one of the poles, and the screen doesn't work properly. If you look at it at an angle, you can see the purpleness.

When you switch it on, it works, but you can tell it's obviously broken. You can't see anything but white.

How can I have this fixed ?

Where can I have this fixed ?

Any idea of the cost for a replacement screen ?

Thanks!

  1. The screen is the most expensive part of the camera; it could cost you almost as much to replace as buying a brand new camera so I would make an assessment now as to whether you NEED it fixing, and whether it's old enough to warrant buying a new camera.

In any case I would take it back to either your local camera store or wherever you bought it from- they will be able to send it back to Pentax to fix it.  I would guess it would cost about £100.  ($200?), if not more.
