Pentax optio e10 shutter speed?

how do i change the settings on my optio e10 to make the shutter speed faster? it has pretty slow speed (about 2 secs) and id like to make it faster. thanx =)

    You can increase the shutter speed by using the "sport" mode on your camera with the ISO set to 200 (not that fast)


  2. I think you are actually referring to 'shutter lag' and not shutter speed.

    Shutter lag is the delay caused by the auto focus system of your camera. It's the length of time your camera takes to take the picture after you press the shutter button.

    Unfortunately there's not too much you can do because the E10 is a budget, entry-level camera which most likely suffers from slow performance.

    However, the best way to minimize shutter lag is to first pre-focus on your subject by half-pressing the shutter button...then hold it there, recompose if you have to...or wait for the right moment to take the shot. Because the camera has already locked in the focus, the delay should be minimized. Following a moving subject with the camera pre-focused this way can also help.

    Using the flash or trying to shoot in low light can also cause shutter delay.
