Peom from Stephen Crane?

O ive read the poem 'War Is Kind' by Stephen Crane. And i have to explain in two sentences how he emphasized irony. And ive read the definition of Irony, but im still not sure how he's [Stephen] using Irony in the Poem?

Any ideas?

  2. The whole premise of the poem is ironic.  

    Does war seem kind to you??? of course not and that's the irony.

    He's written descriptive war scenes of death and mayhem and suffering and sorrow on the back of the irony that states repeatedly, 'war is kind'.
