Peonies after flowering?

How do I look after them after flowering. I live in England

  1. Cut them back to about 4-6 ins. from the ground. they look unsightly anyway after flowering.


  2. Cut to approximately 2 inches in height.  Do not discard plant material in compost pile.  Sometimes peonies suffer from a fungus that will spread to other plants if the cuttings are mixed with compost.  Peonies will rebloom next spring.

  3. cut them right back to preserve their strength and wait for more flowers next year. lol
