People With Dental Implants?

Well as you know you have to clean around the implant every day with implant floss or brush, but it gets an expensive-do buying the floss every month as you probably know.

do you or can you use just normal dental floss for flossing around the implant area? ive just tryed it and although its not as thick as the implant floss, it still certainly cleans the area.

what do you use, normal dental floss/implant floss/brushes or other?

if i have to buy the implant floss every month for the rest of my life then so be it, as i really don't want it to fail but would rather find other 'simpler' methods.

cheers

  1. Regular floss will be fine.  If the space is very large, yarn also works as well as floss.

  2. Have you had other implants? If so, how did you clean around them? I've had four such implants, and the implantist hasn't given me instructions regarding any special type floss. My sister has had several implants, and she tells me she has to keep them clean but does so with an electric toothbrush and floss. She also did not mention any type of special floss. So, I don't know. But, I'm going to ask my dentist and the implantist. Thanks for your question.

  3. INVEST ABOUT $40(US) IN A WATERPIK. PULSATE AROUND THE IMPLANTS DAILY WITH THIS. YOU ONLY BUY THE MACHINE ONCE AND YOU AND ALL IN THE FAMILY CAN USE IT FOREVER

PS. this is more effective, faster and beneficial than even flossing.

  4. excuse me i'm from colombia and i don't speak much english but i go to tried write.

i have a dental implant and i brush it every day because is very important for your tooth.

you need care with this because the cleanliness with our tooth with this dental implant is decisive for that.

    i'm sorry but i don't write more.
