Or is this a game you are playing? I'm wondering whether YA disproportionately attracts people who are angry with the world and some set of political views they have decided are responsible, or whether the social context of YA simply makes this a social norm to which others adhere (i.e., making insulting derogatory remarks about politics seems to be the game here, so I'll play along). Or something else?

  1. Angry? no, I would say 'frustrated', about how so many people are dumb to what is really going on in this world of ours, and what we will leave to our children.  They say that power corrupts, but I say only if the people allow it, and that's just what we are doing, so yes I'm more frustrated at the people of our world for their ignorance.

  2. A lot on here are venting...that is good because they don't get in fist fights in real life...

  3. nah most people try to be angry to belong to sumthing like a party etc

aslong as our country isnt being invaded, attack, saboutaged and the government isnt stealing money or breaking the law

    im happy

  4. Were one not to insult politics and politicians, what might the alternative be, especially as the insults are deserved.

  5. well you get one go at life, and one only!!....and yea! i get angry when some lying son of a ***** politician screws with my !! and my families life and wellfare just to line he's own dammed allready bulging pockets. i guess we all get angry more out of frustration than any thing. if we could simply go and shoot the idiot....(problem over) then there wouldnt be so much anger.

  6. Yes, I am angry and concerned because the behaviour of this government since 1997 has been appalling. Remember how they castigated poor old John Major for sleaze ?. The Tories then were choirboys compared to this rotten and corrupt government.

  7. You and I have the right to vote for who we want to and it shouldn't make anyone angry. Voting and our political system make this country what it is. (Even though I'm getting a little worried about it lately.)

  8. Yes!I am very angry about how Labour are running this country! As far as I am concerned the next General Election cannot come soon enough as we can vote this load of political incompetent Labour Cretins out!To think I was a Labour supporter for 50years!Does that go someway to answer the questioners question??!

  9. You've got to make your own mind up. What gets you riled up? If  there is nothing that really bothers you then you obviously haven't considered all that's going on in the world. The thing to do is to use the anger positively to change things rather than just complaining..

  10. yes I am.

Those in the politics section are more likely to care about politics, of course.  You might go to fashion and dating sections and see what they say there.

  11. I'm beyond angry I'm afraid. I'm now into disillusioned and disinterested, which is dreadful. You make an interesting point though, does the attitude of "the general public, the majority" toward politicians influence us subtlely or otherwise to conform to that opinion (whatever it might be). Yes of course it does, generally speaking. Not just in respect to politicians either, I'd say.

  12. I actually, have a lot of views outside of the mainstream.  The negative things that you talk about make me believe this is a waste of time.  So I use it to practice debating skills.  I try to get best answer for arguing with or against the asker every other day.  I doubt whether people here have ANY evidence of my political leanings.

  13. I'm angry about being constantly lied to and ignored by politicians, yes.

  14. I hope not.  Some seem on the verge of a stroke if their posts are any indication...

Y!A seems to attract a lot of people who want to vent anonymously.
