I ask People are Realy Freindly in UAE OR not?specialy girls?

We are expats living in the UAE and I can honestly say that most of the people are very friendly even between the different cultures. I think that the main thing here is to show respect to the Emiratis and to always remember that you are a visitor in their country. With the right attitude and by being friendly  you will most certainly meet some very friendly people. Like in any other country you will get people with different styles and manners but just by being yourself you will attract people with your own values, morals and attitude.

Here's the truth. And you can get it confirmed from many others living in the country:

People's friendliness towards you in Dubai very much depends on the colour of your skin. If you're a white-skin, well, you won't even need to wash your bum when getting off the potty. You can get it licked spotless clean many times over throughout the day by thousands out there. You can go around throwing the worst of the attitude & tantrums all the time and still, you'll be treated like God. EXCEPT: by other white folks.

A clear hint at racism?? You bet!

Dubai is, by far, a very ruthless (read: rude) city, where being curt & disrespectful is mistaken as being a professional & go-getter.

Even people in the service industry have 2 completely different faces. Your waitress serving you a coffee in a Starbucks with the broadest smile & politest voice will be hard to recognize outside her workplace as the same person.

In short, all the politeness, friendliness, courtesy you see in Dubai is a very well-rehearsed & forced effort. Nobody's genuine!

Everybody deserves to gain the respect they deserve regardless of the color of your skin.

Sameer you have good and bad everywhere! No place is perfect. You have nice people, and you have unfriendly people. Hence, we cannot generalize and label a place bad or good just because of good or rotten tomatoes!

It really comes down to the  the individual at the end of the day!

Generally, the people here are not rude, unless you do something to upset them. Such as cutting their lane when driving or something of that sort or taking their parking. Which again happens everywhere!

i am an Emarati girl ... and i have many female friends from England, Canada , Philipine and South Africa ..

i agree with the 2nd answer , that you should respect our cultrue ..

if you're a male, it would be easier for you to be friends with males , as it's inappropriate to be friends with females .. you can be nice to females but not nessecary to be friends with ..
