Please I'm not trying to brag I just want to know cause honestly I don't think I am but at school and from relatives I'm always called the spoiled rich brat. I have a lot of designer stuff and live in a like a 9 bedroom house with a home theater that cost like over 10,000 and it was by birthday present I go shopping lots and travel all the time but that's because I have a lot of family around the world. I have my own laptop and have had multiple ipods and camera's but they break easily. I'm really not trying to brag I just want to know. I may get a lot of stuff but I work hard for it I get rewarded for my good grades and behavior. Does this still make me spoiled?

  1. Well, i suppose if you don't appreciate what you have and don't take good care of your things, expecting them to be replaced if you're careless, that might be spoiled... or if you scream and cry and have a tantrum when your parents say "no" about something...

Also, we could all be a little more modest about the cost of our home theatre systems and other things... everyone on earth doesn't need to know how much things cost and how much you have... I think that it's quite ok to come from a well-to-do family.  Many people do.  But you could be discreet about the cost of things etc.

I hope you have a nice summer.

  2. so what? maybe youre spoiled. doesnt make you a spoiled rich brat. theyre just jealous so they are making fun of you. and im not saying this from experience. cuz im not like way rich like you seem to be its just true.

  3. ..

  4. I have my own laptop and a game cube as well as a MP3 player and other expensive items. this does not make a person spoiled. what makes them spoiled is when they expect to get something whenever they do anything right. And their attitude towards other people that aren't as "cool" or rich.

  5. Yes.

If people just give you anything you want, then by definition, you are spoiled.  But if you actually earn your own money and buy stuff with it, then you are just successful.  Go do some charity work and people will instantly stop calling you spoiled.

  6. Spoiled.

The reward function is annoying; you should get good grades without an incentive. In fact, you should get a job alongside and make your own money.

  7. Yes. Very.

I get good grades too but I never get that much! I got straight fekkin A's for 2 quarters and got $100 and a card and that I think is alot. You must have friken rich parents to buy you a $10,000 birthday present.... I have only owned one ipod and treat it like it's my child since I really don't want to save another $200... I have never owned a camera or laptop either...You are really lucky. You need to prepare your self for reality though. When you get older your'e only going to get paid for what you work for and trust me your boss isn't going to give you a $10,000 bonus because it's your birthday. You should start donating money to some charities. Think of all the kids dying in Africa and the middle east from aids and other diseases while you are out shopping for a new wardrobe or watching you own personal home theater. You are really fortunate so you really should give back and a 9 room house! Holy c**p I have a 3 room at my dads and a 4 room at my moms but she uses one of the rooms as her office.

  8. You have money? We should be friends lol jkk. Hmph, having stuff doesn't make you spoiled as long as you appreciate it, and know that some people in this world have nothing at all.

  9. well try not to want all the newest things, for now don't go shopping, and don't buy anything, just try to live the good ol life, you can still travel to see family and stuff but don't want to much always be thankful for what you have, if you really want the full effect of not being spoiled, go to childrens hospital and you will see children that have nothing, it will really encourage you to "give back"

  10. It would depend. Do you act s****. with other people your age? Do you act as if you're better than others? There's many reasons why a person is called a spoiled brats. And it isn't always because of the items you possess. It's in how you treat others.

If you talk a lot about what you do have, that too, could be another reason someone would call you a spoiled rich brat, as that would be seen as you bragging. Afterall, just because you have nice things, don't mean you have to rub peoples noses in it.

Although, I would suggest you not say you worked for the items your parents buy you, as you're not working to earn the money being spent on those things. Getting good grades is something you should do because you care about your education, not because you will be rewarded. Same with good behavior. You should be nice, and respectful because it's the RIGHT thing to do for you and for your family, as your behavior does reflect back onto your parents and how they raise you.

I think if your feeling insecure about if you are a spoiled rich brat or not, then you need to do something positive to make yourself feel better about yourself. Maybe volunteer to help feed the homeless on weekends, or over holidays.. donate some of the items you no longer need to charity, or something else just as worthwhile. Then, it won't matter what people say about you.. because you'll know your truly being the best person you can be.
