  1. We're reading "Paradise Lost" by John Milton in my Lit. class. That's actually one of the points he brings up, so you may want to google that.

We also talk about your question all the time in my psych. class. Our whole class always argues about the nature vs. nurture debate. Personally, I think that society does influence a person but there's also basic instincts in a person.

  2. It's my beleif that people are born 'neutral' and that they are indeed moulded by society. There are those traits within each person that define them and will appear no matter what the up bringing however ( a google on identical twins seperated at birth is a really good example). Also if you look at a few different societies or religious up brings(particularly the Armish) might also give you some good examples. Plus you need to have a strong idea on what you class as 'bad' Good luck with your paper.

  3. People are born selfish, whiny, inconsiderate, violent and hateful.  They then learn goodness or their born traits are fed upon by the society.

  4. that's not true. people are inherently bad, but society contains them to be good. it sets boundries on us.

  5. People are born as what they are. Society determines whether that person is good or bad in relation to that society.

  6. It depends on how you mean, because I believe people are inherintly born evil and have to practice self-control to be good.

BUT! There are some things like children that can prove your point. Babies aren't really racist or judgmental, they like everybody, it's listening to our racist and bigoted grandparents that make us have similiar feelings.

  7. you could use "The Emperor's New Clothes" by Hans A. Andersen

I think people are born innocent and ignorant (I do NOT mean stupid) of the complexities of the world, not necessarily "good" (as in the traditional sense).  People are forced, as soon as they grow up and become independent (aka parents don't them anymore), to find a viable way to survive and they'll literally starve to death.

  8. The choices that people make, make themselves bad, not society.

Example: People like to blame violence in teenagers on video games, television, and movies. A scapegoat.

But what video games, television, and movies made the Romans violent, or the Mongols, the Vikings, or even the n**i's?

    It is choice.
