by a Great White Shark yesterday in San Diego, CA. I mean, you don't know what's lurking beneath you. Sharks just flat out scare me. How about you?

  1. More people are killed by Hippopotamus that sharks every year, but, nobody says anything about them !!!

  2. The fact is, your more likely to be struck by lightning than to be eaten by a shark. Second off, even if a shark sees you they probably won't eat you. Just make sure your not bleeding or have a  surf board to make you look fat.

The guy obviously enjoyed what he was doing and knew the risks before he went in.

  3. Every year there are almost as many incidents that end in permanent injury or death in swimming pools as the ocean.  While the risks are different, as long as you recognize those risks and prepare for them swimming in the ocean is perfectly safe.

  4. People die in car accidents every day, but you probably hop in your car and drive around without giving it a second thought, right? Shark attacks grab headlines (and your imagination), but the risk of being attacked is incredibly low.
