under sharia law, but what do you want normal people to do about it ?- we can protest but our government does not listen to us. So why are tell us we are powerless to stop it , if it happens there is nothing we can do . And if your from another country , why do you even care /

Islamic law is already being used as the basis of many contracts between islamic persons and institutions.  It has been for many years, in international banking, for instance, and no-one is harmed.

We should make a new BRITISH law banning the use of  Sharia law in our country. We should also take urgent steps to limit and reverse the increasing Muslim population of the UK

Hi Strwberry Tart.  Many newspapers have made a big issue about sharia law coming to Britain. They have to sell newspapers on quiet days when there is not much news. It makes no sense when you think about it.

Sharia Law is designed for an Islam state and provides a religious and idelogical framework for living.

How any of this can be incorporated in to British Law is difficult to see. And what would be the reason?

It's just newspapers trying to improve circulation  -  they'll do anything for the next day's sales. Publish topless males, females, invent stories, celebrity scams, exaggerate stories.

The power of the People, don't forget that, yes you can protest but you can also vote in great numbers & organise people to vote politicians out of office who support sharia law, The UK is not a nation rulled by religon but laws & this message needs to be sent to the mulims who want sharia law brought in.

Look England is so liberal that they deserve it.  What you, as an American, have to pay extra attention to is that America doesn't follow suit. If Obama is elected we take one step closer to socialism and ultra liberalism which is the breeding ground for such unchristian things like Shari'a Law. Those of you who are unfamiliar with the law, read up on it and you will be amazed at negative (pejorative) view point of women and non Muslims.
