Hi all,

I keep hearing about these benefits in Ireland that you can get housed, get a free buggy, baby items etc whilst pregnant.

Does anyone know how to avail of these as i have searched sites and sites and cant find anything.

Do you know do u have to be unemployed or anything to avail of these or just on low income?

I work full time and take home 347EUR weekly.

Thanksx

  1. it might be something to do with social services.....  contact your local office they would be able to offer advice...

  2. im irish but only 15. i think your talking about council houses? you need to put your name on a list for that.

  3. No of course you don't get housed and free things just because you are pregnant. It is dependent on your circumstances e.g. pay, if you have a partner etc. You are entitled to some benefits if you are an irish citizen and you can find these on the governmental websites under social security.

  4. if your on social welfare you get it as far as i no..but not if your earning alot of money..they send you a check for a certain amount of oney so that you can buy all the stuff youl need..we got it coz wer on rent allowance and welfre..i doubt u would though..go to your local welfare office nd ask them..
