People have tensions against me and my girlfriend? Racial problem?

Well since we have been going out many people have said/acted like we shouldn't based on our race. ..we don't see it as a problem ourselves obviously. but a lot of people don't like us being together. . . any idea why people don't like interracial dating? here are some pics of us

Shes Cambodian and Im Iranian. So Asian and Middle Eastern/Persian.

If they don't know you both well, its probably racial. Don't take it to heart. That's their problem, not yours unless you both choose to make it so.

If you have kids, they'll be gorgeous! (Ever noticed how interracial people are just very very good looking?)

I see nothing wrong with intercultural relationships.  However, religious beliefs seem to be the greatest divisor. If you are muslim, and she is non muslim, this has the potential to be problematic. If both of you honestly have no religious mores to satisfy, then your relationship has a real chance. Parents are usually the strongest dissenters. If your relationship is based on mutual admiration for the successes of each other, and does not expect compliance from either of you, then go for it.
