Tell me, what is the lowest number of customers you've ever had in one day that you remember of?

From what I remember, it was snowing one day and was really really cold and icy outside and we were so slow we got word from our boss to close the store at 4, when we really didn't close til 10. I'm not sure of how many customers we had that day because I had just barely went into work when we were told to close.

  1. I'm not sure of the lowest number of customers though I do rememeber that the customer line of my mcdonalds was actually deserted for about 10mins.

though because I'm only a student at school I can't work in the night [our mcdonalds is a 24hr one] but I'm sure that at 3am theres no one there to serve lol

  2. i work at pizza hut, and on absolutely GORGEOUS days when it's sunny and warm, we have anywhere from 40-60 customers the entire day. do you have any idea how boring that is? i guess you must.

  3. I am a manager for Subway.

The worse the weather the busier we are. Go figure.

  4. I'm a manager at a small town McDonald's, and when the snow or ice gets really bad we'll have maybe one or two customers an hour, lobby and drive-thru combined.

If it stays slow like that for more than an hour or two, then our labor costs get too high and we send people home.

Once we are down to three people and a manager (the lowest amount we can close the store with) our franchise owner usually calls the manager and tells them to shut down.

Usually this only happens a couple of hours before close time anyway, but I do remember on instance in which we closed down the store at one in the afternoon because the ice was so bad. We live in rural Illinois so weather can be a problem sometimes.
